Car Pool Website

It looks like only one person with a car from queens has offered to drive.
It doesn’t seem like there are a lot of drivers signing up from Manhattan.

You can start a car group where you meet on a particular corner and then take a car from there.
For example you could create an upper west side taxi group to meet at 72nd St & Broadway at whatever time.
You would create a central place to meet that works for your group.
You can change the location and the time as needed for the group.
You can contact people directly by clicking on their name.
You can delete the taxi group if it doesn’t work.
You can create a subway group leaving from Times Square, Grand Central etc on the 7 line.
There’s a detail space to describe your pick up group

Check out how the queens driver set up their carpool.

Hope that helps.

The Artists Reception for Our Botanical Worldis
Friday May 18, 2018 6p-8pat the Queens Botanical Garden(QBG)

QBG will be open only for this event. The capacity is 150, please keep this in mind when RSVPing. If someone changes their mind please cancel their reservation so someone else can go.

For reservations it's first come first served, currently it's set so that people can register for 1 ticket at a time - but they can register for additional tickets. QBG encourages PWP members who are attending to RSVP and bring their membership card

The event itself is free, but there is garden admission. PWP members all get free admission to the garden, but non-members will have to pay garden admission, which is paid at the gate upon entering. Parking is $6. Cars would need to be out of the parking lot by 8:30pm.

Please note: I was not told until today that non-members would have to pay to attend the artist’s reception and parking was not free.
You can also travel to the garden by the 7 train to the Main Street/Flushing stop and then take a bus or walk to the garden. This trip is about an hour one way from Times Square. See the QBG website for specific directions.

We’ve already gotten high praise for the show from the QBG Director and have inspired Pre-K students about photography.

Don’t forget if all your guests are unable to attend the opening, you can always invite them to come another day with you while the exhibition is open through August 8, 2018.

Come and Enjoy!
